Enhanced and cost-effective biosecurity in livestock production

Bioecure is a European research project Biosecure (https://biosecure.eu/) funded by the EU: Horizon Europe Farm2fork framework programme. The project aims to develop and improve biosecurity work at farm level within the European Union and includes several sub-projects with different focuses regarding methodologies, animal species and pathogens.

The Swedish part of the project aims to evaluate whether and how work for improved biosecurity can be implemented in the local community. For this purpose, “the local community” refers to animal owners from nearby herds and veterinarians working in the area. The participants’ experiences of working in a local community will also be researched and described.
